Who Am I?

Hello, my name is Bob Buchanon. Now, let me help you with that family name. My Dad was always called Buck. My grandchildren are calling me Grandpa Buck, too. That should help you pronounce the name properly. Think of it as Buck-anon. If we're ever introduced and you forget who I am, you've lost nothing; but if you're ever introduced to Jesus Christ and forget who He is, then you've lost it all.

If I had a penny for every time that someone told me that I reminded them of a famous person, I still wouldn't have enough money to buy a piece of bubble gum. If you're reading this page, expecting to learn something about someone famous, then you're going to be mighty disappointed. My story is rather simple; I'm just a plain and simple guy from Western Kentucky.

This web-site will continue to be a work in progress. I don't really expect there to be anything of interest in this area--"Who Am I?"--that would be of interest to anyone else. This section is really just for me. Who am I? Where have I been? What have I done? What have I learned? I think I'm going to explore the emotions that have possibly shaped my life, to reflect on the good times and the bad, and to see if I can come out of this search as a better person. How will my past help me with my future?

I've tried to divide my life into different segments, each section providing a chapter in the book of my life. As I later recall another event or story from the past, I'll return to these pages and add a few more thoughts. As I said, it's a work in progress.

Read on only if you have nothing better to do. If you're really that bored, I'd recommend going down to the corner of the street and watching the stop sign rust; that might be more exciting than reading these pages.
