Moist Brownies

Ingredients:

1/2 cup butter, melted

1 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

2 eggs, at room temperature

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/3 cup Hershey's cocoa

1/4 teaspoon baking powder

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/2 cup pecans or walnuts, chopped

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease 9" x 9" baking pan. In large mixing bowl, blend butter, sugar, and vanilla. Add eggs, using spoon, beat well. Combine flour, cocoa, baking powder and salt; gradually blend into egg mixture. Stir in nuts. Spread into prepared pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 20-22 minutes or until brownies begin to pull away from sides of pan. Note: do not overcook or the brownies will be dry. Cool; cut into squares. Eat plain or cover with Creamy Brownie Frosting. Yield: 16 brownies
