Winter Fruit Crumble

Ingredients:

1 package (8 ounces) mixed dried fruit, diced

1 1/4 cups water

2 cups peeled, chopped Granny Smith apple

3 tablespoons brown sugar

3/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1/4 teaspoon ground nutmeg

1/2 cup unsweetened orange juice

3 tablespoons regular oats, uncooked

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon whole wheat flour

1/4 teaspoon ground cinnamon

1 1/2 teaspoons margarine, melted.

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a medium saucepan, combine dried fruit and water; bring to a boil. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 10 minutes. Add apple and next 4 ingredients; stir well. Spoon into a 1-quart baking dish; set aside.

In a medium bowl, combine oats and next 3 ingredients. Add margarine, tossing with a fork until combined. Sprinkle over fruit. Bake at 350 degrees, uncovered, for 30 minutes. Let stand 15 minutes. Yields 6 servings.
