Whole Wheat Rolls

Ingredients:

1/2 cup sugar

1 1/2 cups milk

2 teaspoons salt

1/2 cup cooking oil

2 tablespoons dark molasses

2 cups whole wheat flour

1 packages (1/4 ounce each) yeast

1 cup warm water

4 eggs, beaten

7-7 1/2 cups all-purpose flour

Directions:

In a large bowl, mix together sugar, milk, salt, oil, molasses, and whole wheat flour; let soak overnight in the refrigerator.

In the morning, dissolve yeast in warm water. Remove mixture from refrigerator; stir in dissolved yeast and beaten egg.

Mix in all-purpose flour; knead. Let rise until approximately doubled in size, about one hour.

Punch dough down and let rise again until doubled, about one hour.

Roll dough out and cut with circle cookie cutter to desired size. Place on greased sheet. Let rise until approximately doubled in size.

Bake at 350 degrees for 8-10 minutes.

Note: This recipe makes a large quantity, but the rolls freeze well if you don't use them all at once.
