Spicy Cinnamony Cider

Ingredients:

4 cinnamon sticks

10 whole cloves

1 2-inch piece fresh ginger, peeled and sliced

2 star anise

1 gallon apple cider

Peel of one orange

Directions:

Place the first four ingredients in a piece of cheese cloth and tie together to make a small bundle.

Place the cider and orange peel in a large stockpot. Drop in the spice bundle. Heat on medium low heat and bring to a simmer. Reduce the heat to low and continue to cook for 10-12 minutes. Cool slightly, garnish with additional cinnamon sticks and orange slices.
