Snickerdoodles

Ingredients:

4 tablespoons butter

4 tablespoons shortening

3/4 cup granulated sugar

1 egg, at room temperature

1 1/4 cups all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon soda

1 teaspoon cream of tartar

1/4 teaspoon salt

2 tablespoons granulated sugar

2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

1 bag of Hershey's kisses

Directions:

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. In a medium bowl, mix butter, shortening, sugar and egg. Fold in flour, soda, cream of tartar and salt.

In a small bowl, stir together 2 tablespoons sugar and cinnamon. Form batter into little balls and roll in sugar/cinnamon mixture. Bake at 400 degrees on ungreased cookie sheet for about 7 minutes. As soon as you remove the cookies from the oven, push one Hershey's kiss into the center of each cookie.
