Seven-Layer Salad

Ingredients:

1 head lettuce, shredded

8 strips bacon, fried crisp and crumbled

1/2 head cauliflower, cut in small pieces

1 cup celery, chopped

1 cup green pepper, chopped

1 1/2 cups onion, chopped

1 package (10 ounces) frozen green peas

6 hard-boiled eggs, diced

2 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Ingredients for dressing:

1/2 cup mayonnaise

1/2 cup sour cream

dash of salt

1/8 teaspoon crushed black pepper

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/4 cup parmesan cheese

Directions:

In a 13" x 9" glass dish, layer the salad in the following order: 1. Shredded lettuce, 2. Bacon, 3. Cauliflower, 4. Celery, green pepper & onion 5. Green peas  6. Boiled eggs. 

In a small bowl, stir together all ingredients for the dressing. Pour dressing over the top of the vegetables. Add shredded cheese for the seventh layer. Refrigerate for 24 hours.
