Sausage Fondue

Ingredients:

8 slices white bread with crust, cubed

1 pound pork sausage, fried and drained

2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

4 eggs, at room temperature

2 1/2 cups milk

3/4 teaspoon dry mustard

1 can (10 3/4 ounces) cream of mushroom soup

1/2 cup milk

1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:

Preheat oven to 300 degrees. In a greased 9" x 13" baking dish, spread the bread cubes. Sprinkle cheese over them. Distribute cooked sausage over the cheese. Blend eggs, 2 1/2 cups milk, and dry mustard; pour over mixture in pan. Mix soup, 1/2 cup milk, and salt and pour over mixture.  Bake at 300 degrees for 1 1/2 hours or until it is very bubbly.

This recipe can be prepared in advance and kept in refrigerator overnight or it can even be frozen and baked later.
