Pumpkin-Pecan Double-Decker Pie

For pumpkin layer:

1 unbaked 9" deep-dish pie shell

1 egg, lightly beaten

1 cup pumpkin

1/3 cup granulated sugar

1 teaspoon pumpkin pie spice

Combine egg, pumpkin, sugar and pie spice in medium bowl and stir. Spread over bottom of pie shell.

For pecan layer:

2/3 cup light corn syrup

2 eggs, lightly beaten

1/2 cup granulated sugar

3 tablespoons butter, melted

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 cup pecan halves

Combine corn syrup, eggs, sugar, butter and vanilla in a bowl; stir in the pecans and mix well. Spoon this over the pumpkin layer.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50-60 minutes or until filling is set. Cool on wire rack.
