Peanut Butter Sauce

Ingredients:

2 cups granulated sugar

1 large can (12 ounces) evaporated milk

1 stick (1/2 cup) margarine

2 tablespoons peanut butter, mounded high

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

In a medium saucepan, combine sugar, milk and margarine. Cook on medium heat, stirring constantly, until all ingredients are blended and smooth. Add peanut butter and mix well. Remove from heat, let cool, and then add vanilla.

This is a great sauce to pour over a simple yellow, white or chocolate cake or to put on ice cream. It's even better if served hot.
