Peachy Chicken

Ingredients:

3 chicken breasts, halved

1/2 cup all-purpose flour

1/4 teaspoon salt

1/4 teaspoon crushed black pepper

2 tablespoons butter

2 tablespoons cooking oil

1 1/2 cups orange juice

2 tablespoons vinegar

2 tablespoons brown sugar

1 teaspoon basil

1/2 teaspoon nutmeg

1 can (16 ounces) peach halves, drained

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large zip-lock bag, shake chicken pieces in flour, salt and pepper. In a large skillet, brown the chicken in butter and oil.

Place browned chicken in a greased 11" x 7" casserole dish. In a bowl, combine orange juice with vinegar, sugar, basil, and nutmeg; pour over chicken. Cover and bake at 375 degrees for 1 hour and 15 minutes or until tender. Baste often. Place peach halves between chicken pieces, baste well, and bake uncovered for 15 minutes longer. Yields 6 servings.
