Old-Fashioned Cornbread |
Ingredients: 1/2 cup cornmeal 2/3 cup granulated sugar 1/2 teaspoon salt 3 tablespoons butter, melted 1 1/4 cups milk 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour 1 tablespoon baking powder 1/3 cup cooking oil 2 eggs, beaten Directions: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, combine dry ingredient; make a well in the center and add oil, butter, eggs and milk into the well. Stir until just mixed (batter will be runny). Pour into cast-iron skillet or 8" square baking pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 35 minutes. |
