Macaroni-Sausage Casserole

Ingredients:

1 package (8 ounces) macaroni

1 pound pork sausage

1/2 cup chopped onion

1/2 cup green pepper, cut in small pieces

3 tablespoons all-purpose flour

1/2 teaspoon salt

2 cups milk

2 cups shredded cheddar cheese

Directions:

In a 3-quart pot, cook macaroni in boiling salted water for 7-8 minutes; drain well.

In a skillet, brown the sausage. Add onions and peppers and cook until tender. Stir in flour and salt. Slowly add milk; stir and cook over medium heat until thick. Stir in 1 1/2 cup cheese. Combine macaroni and sauce.

Place mixture into 11" x 7" casserole dish. Top with rest of cheese. Bake at 400 degrees for 25 minutes or until golden brown.
