German Bundt Cake

Ingredients for Cake:

1 box (18.25 ounces) German chocolate cake mix

1 small package vanilla pudding mix

3/4 cups cooking oil

1 teaspoon vanilla extract

1 teaspoon butter, melted

4 eggs, at room temperature

1/4 cup granulated sugar

1/2 cup pecans, chopped fine

2 teaspoons crushed cinnamon

Directions for Cake:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, mix cake mix, pudding mix, cooking oil, vanilla, and butter. Add eggs, one at a time; beat at high speed for 8 minutes. Set aside.

In a separate bowl, mix sugar, pecans and cinnamon together. Divide this into three sections.

Grease and flour a bundt cake pan. Sprinkle 1/3 of the sugar mixture in the pan, followed by 1/3 of the cake batter. Repeat this two more times, until all of the sugar mixture and cake batter is used up.

Bake at 350 degrees for 50 minutes. Place on wire rack to cool for 10 minutes. Remove from pan and return to rack to cool longer.

Ingredients for Icing:

1 cup confectioners' sugar

1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

1/2 teaspoon butter, melted

4-5 tablespoons whipping cream

Directions for Icing:

Mix all ingredients together, making sure not to use too much whipping cream and getting the icing runny. Pour glaze over the cake and let stand for thirty minutes before slicing.
