Freezer Slaw |
Ingredients: 2 heads cabbage 6 sweet green peppers 6 onions 4 carrots 1 1/2 cups vinegar 1/2 cup salt 4 cups granulated sugar 1 tablespoon celery seed 1 tablespoon mustard powder Directions: Chop the cabbage, peppers, onions and carrots and put in your largest mixing bowl. In a medium saucepan, boil vinegar, sugar and salt. Cool completely. Add celery seed and mustard powder; mix well. Pour liquid over slaw and stir well. Put into jars with lids and store in freezer. |
