Double Chocolate Chip Cookies |
Ingredients: 1 1/4 cups firmly packed light brown sugar 3/4 cup butter-flavored all-vegetable shortening 2 tablespoons milk 1 tablespoon vanilla extract 1 egg, at room temperature 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour 1 teaspoon salt 3/4 teaspoon baking soda 3/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips 3/4 cup semi-sweet mini chocolate chips Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a large bowl, combine brown sugar, shortening, milk and vanilla. With an electric mixer, beat at medium speed until light and fluffy. Beat egg into creamed mixture. Combine flour, salt and baking soda and then mix into the creamed mixture until just blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Drop rounded tablespoons of dough 3 inches apart onto an ungreased baking sheet. Bake at 375 degrees for 8-10 minutes for chewy cookies or 11-13 minutes for crisp cookies. Cool for 2 minutes on baking sheet on a cooling rack; remove cookies to rack to completely cool. Yields 36 cookies. |
