Cranberry Casserole

Ingredients:

3 cups apples, peeled & chopped

2 cups cranberries, whole & raw

1 1/2 teaspoons lemon juice

1 1/2 cups granulated sugar

1 1/3 cups quick cooking oats

1 cup chopped walnuts (pecans can be substituted, if desired)

1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

1 stick (1/4 pound) margarine, melted

Directions:

Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Spray a two-quart casserole dish with cooking oil. Place the apples and cranberries in the dish. Sprinkle with lemon juice and cover with the sugar.

In a medium bowl, blend (just to moisten) the oats, walnuts, brown sugar and margarine.

Pour the crumb mixture over the fruit. Bake uncovered at 325 degrees for 1 1/4 hours.

Yields 8-10 servings.
