Country Ham Balls

Ingredients for Balls:

1 pound country ham, ground

1 1/2 cups breadcrumbs

1 egg

1/2 pound pork sausage

1 cup milk

Directions for Balls:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large bowl, mix all ingredients together. Roll into bite-size balls and place on a shallow baking sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes or until cooked through and nicely browned, turning once.

Ingredients for Sauce:

1 cup brown sugar

1/2 cup water

1 cup vinegar

2 teaspoons dry mustard

1 tablespoon cornstarch, dissolved in 1/4 cup cold water

Directions for Sauce:

Place sugar, water, vinegar and mustard in saucepan. Bring to a boil, stirring occasionally. Mix cornstarch and water in a small bowl. Add cornstarch mixture to sauce 1 tablespoon at a time until desired thickness is achieved. Use as a dipping sauce for the country ham balls.
