Chocolate-Chip Cheese Bars

Ingredients:

1 tube (18 ozs.) refrigerated chocolate-chip cookie dough

1 package (8 ounces) cream cheese, softened

1/2 teaspoon almond extract

1/2 cup granulated sugar

1 egg

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cut cookie dough in half. For crust, press half of the dough into the bottom of a greased 8" square pan.

In a large bowl, beat the cream cheese, almond extract, sugar and egg until smooth. Spread over the crust. Crumble the remaining dough over the top.

Bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until a toothpick inserted near the center comes out clean. Cool on a wire rack. Refrigerate any leftovers. Yields: 14-16 servings.
