Cheeseburger Soup

Ingredients:

1/2 pound hamburger, browned and drained

3/4 cup chopped carrots

3/4 cup chopped onions

1 teaspoon basil

4 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon parsley

4 cups diced potatoes

8 ounces Velvetta cheese

3/4 teaspoon salt

3 cups chicken broth

1/4 cup self-rising flour

1 1/2 cups milk

1/4 teaspoon black pepper

Directions:

Saute onion, carrots, basil and parsley in 1 tablespoon butter, for about 10 minutes.

Add broth, potatoes and beef. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat, and simmer for 10-12 minutes.

Melt the remaining butter in a pan. Add flour. Stir together and add to the soup.

Bring to a boil. Reduce heat to low.

Add cheese, milk, salt and pepper. Stir well.
