Butterscotch-Apple Crisp |
Ingredients: 1 package (10 ounces) butterscotch chips 1/4 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon 2 1/2 pounds tart apples, peeled and sliced Ingredients for Topping: 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 cup packed brown sugar 1/4 cup cold butter 3/4 cup old-fashioned oats 1 cup chopped pecans Directions: Preheat oven to 375 degrees. In a small bowl, combine the chips, flour, sugar and cinnamon. Place apples in a greased 13" x 9" baking dish; sprinkle with butterscotch chip mixture. Bake at 375 degrees for 20 minutes. While the apples are baking, prepare the topping. In a small bowl, combine flour and brown sugar; cut in butter until crumbly. Stir in oats. Sprinkle flour mixture and pecans over apple mixture; bake 30-40 minutes longer or until filling is bubbly and topping is golden brown. Yields: 8 servings |
